Friday night we stayed in El Dorado so we could get up super early to go find some gobblers. Manolito has really enjoyed sharing his love of hunting with Molly, and they talk about it daily. He quizes her on the anatomy of the turkey and even shot placement. I decided that I needed to be there for the "first hunt", since I am a mommy and want to experience EVERY first. I AM SO GLAD I DID! We saw eight birds, and had six came within 15 yards! Daddy got a shot with his new bow (a recurve) but it was too low. All in all she enjoyed it, however, I think the experience meant more to mommy and daddy.
You go, Molly! Call those turkeys in for your dad. It won't be long before you are showing him how to shoot them.
