Enough said.

Read this today and want to store it somewhere, but my brain is too full to keep it there. I'll post it here. Maybe you could use to hear it today too!

"On the other hand, when my desire is to improve the relationship, I seek to understand where the other person is coming from and I care enough about the relationship to fight for it rather than against it. Instead of reacting out of anger, I pause and let the Holy Spirit interrupt my first impulses. I tackle the issues, not the person." (discovered on Proverbs 31 website).

Back and Forth

Christmas Eve

This year we were unable to attend church service on Christmas Eve. I was pretty bummed about that, but none of us wanted to get out in cold and wind! Manuel and Marco had to go rescue Marcelino from El Dorado later that evening. Crazy Uncle Marco even thought the roads were bad.

We had out own Christmas pagent. The cast included... Macy as the Angel Gabriel, Molly as Mary, Papi as Joseph, Uncle Dale and I as the sheperds, and the strangest Magi I have ever seen, Nana, Co, and Manolito. Manolito also narrated and I had to snap the shots. I think we offered baby Jesus a shoe and I don't know what else. I think the girls got the point. God was glorified, and not mocked... I promise...hehe.

The best part was when Molly said to Macy is such a sweet voice, "You are bringing me good news!" As you can see the Three Kings are "overjoyed".

Birthdays!

December was a busy month for us. The girls turned four and two, and we decided to simplify things and celebrate their birthdays separately. Molly turned four on the 20th. It was a Sunday, and the girls had been at my parents the night before making a special birthday cookie for the next morning. Molly had requested Mommy's homemade pizza for her birthday dinner, even after we offered Red Robin! This really made me feel good that she wanted my meal over that silly bird's. I also made the coolest rainbow cupcakes from my FAVORITE blogs (that will be another post).

Macy's day was the 29th which was a Tuesday. The three of us made a cake using an Elmo cake pan that daddy so graciously picked up for us from the library. After one flop, and a couple phone calls to friends, we had the perfect Elmo. We ended up going to Red Robin for dinner and came home to presents! Macy LOVES dogs and seeing as how we will probably never have one, we got her a "Fur-Real" puppy she calls "Precious".

The girls had matching princess shirts that I made for them, and received their annual birthday roses from Papi. Happy Birthday Molly and Macy!

Blogging?

It has been awhile. I have just been too busy finding blogs and misc. websites that I must read daily, that I have neglected ours. I am still thinking about throwing in the towel on this altogether, so we shall see. But for today, I am here. Pink eye and stomach bug are slowing leaving the house so that's always a good thing. So with that, I am back in the saddle and blogging?
